Cassel stepped into the starting roll when Tom Brady went down with a season-ending knee injuryin the first game of the 2008 NFL season.  Matt also stepped up, tallying 3,693 passing yards, with 327 completions on 516 attempts for a 63.4 percentage.  He threw 21 touchdowns, 11 interceptions and had an 89.4 Quarterback rating.  Not bad for a college benchwarmer.
